EUCAS 2021 Attendee Manual
Dates
The EUCAS 2021 will be held in a virtual format on September 5-9, 2021. The Conference Virtual Platform ASC Community will host plenary, oral, poster presentations, and exhibitions.

All presentations (plenaries, orals, posters, etc.) must be uploaded to the Conference Virtual Platform beginning from July 30 till September 3, 2021.

Short courses will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2021. They are free of charge for all registered attendees paid the conference fee.

The main part of the Conference begins on Monday, September 6 at 12:00 (Moscow time).

The Conference closes on Thursday, September 9 at 6 p.m. (Moscow time). The Conference Virtual Platform becomes inaccessible for meetings, negotiations, and streams.

The attendees (both the authors and exhibitors) can visit their accounts after the closing of the conference and look through the information posted by all attendees till September 20, 2021.
    Conference Virtual Platform and Personal Accounts
    All virtual events will take place on the Virtual platform ASC Community.

    Registered attendees will be able to communicate with each other via chat features, matchmaking, and video calls.

    Personal account options differ depending on the type of registration (attendee or exhibitor) and the type of presentation (oral or poster).

    The decision on the inclusion of presentations into oral or poster sessions is made by the Programme Committee.
      Access to the Conference Virtual Platform
      To take part in EUCAS 2021, every participant must register as an attendee or an exhibitor.

      As the result of registration, a personal account will be created and the participant will get the payment instructions by email.

      After the payment, the participant will receive an e-mail with a login and password to the newly created account on the Conference Virtual Platform. The translation of the receipt for payment can be downloaded here.

      There is no need to download anything to use the Platform. When the participant registers for the Conference, the personal account becomes visible in the "Attendees" or "Exhibitors" section on the Conference Virtual Platform.

      Personal account access will be provided for the attendees and exhibitors beginning from July 30, 2021.

      Filling the personal account with all the necessary content is to be done by the attendee or the exhibitor on their own. This preparatory work must be done before September 3, 2021.

      Access to the uploaded materials of all attendees and exhibitors will be provided from September 5 till September 20, 2021.
        Attendee with an Oral Presentation
        Attendees presenting oral presentations will be provided with:
        - a virtual account with the personal information (photo, contacts, organization, country, etc);
        - the ability to add the pre-recorded presentation in video format, PowerPoint, or PDF format;
        - the live stream for 15 minutes (including presentation and answers to questions) in accordance with programme schedule;
        - chat and matchmaking tool access;
        - access to the short courses, plenaries, oral/poster presentations, and exhibition.

        The oral presentations will focus on the discussion of pre-recorded content led by the session moderators. In addition to the pre-recorded presentation, authors must submit a summary of the presentation in no more than two slides. In accordance with the performance time in the programme schedule, the authors will perform live for 5-7 minutes for a short summary of their report, next the presentation will continue for 8-10 minutes for answering questions and discussions. The oral discussions will be recorded, and the full recording will be available for playback shortly after the completion of the oral session.

        Before the live stream authors will be asked to make a test video call with technical support to check video communication and sound.
          Attendee with a Poster Presentation
          Attendees presenting poster presentations will be provided with:
          - a virtual account with the personal information (photo, contacts, organization, country, etc);
          - the ability to add the presentation in PowerPoint or PDF format;
          - chat and matchmaking tool access;
          - access to the short courses, plenaries, oral/poster presentations, and virtual exhibition.

          The poster presentations are intended for posting materials without a live stream. Authors will have the possibility to communicate via chat or matchmaking or to organize their own webinar room during the entire conference.
            Attendee with no Presentation
            Attendees without presentations will be provided with:
            - a virtual account with the personal information (photo, contacts, organization, country, etc);
            - chat and matchmaking tool access;
            - access to the short courses, plenaries, oral/poster presentations, and virtual exhibition.
            Exhibitor
            Exhibitors will be provided with:
            - an account with the company information (logo, description of the organization, contacts);
            - information about the company products;
            - connected managers;
            - chat, video calls, matchmaking tools;
            - analytics about the visits to the account;
            - access to plenaries, oral/poster presentations, and exhibition.
            Technical parameters for presentations
            Images and photos:
            - Formats: jpg, png, gif;
            - Optimal size: 240x154 px;
            - Weight: up to 2 Mb.

            Files:
            - Formats: jpg, jpeg, gif, zip, rar, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, pdf, ppt, pptx, txt, 7z, gz, wav, mp3, avi, mpeg, mpg, mp4;
            - Maximum size: 200 Mb.
            Video meeting rooms
            All attendees or exhibitors can meet up as a group and organize private meetings using additional services of webinar rooms with any other attendees or exhibitors.
            Publications
            All authors presented oral or poster reports have the right to submit one manuscript for publication in IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON APPLIED SUPERCONDUCTIVITY (2019 - 2020 I.F.-1.885, Q2).

            Submitted manuscripts will be subject to the usual peer review procedures of the Transactions.

            Articles accepted for publication will be available online soon after the date of acceptance and will be identified by an article number. It is anticipated that articles will begin to be available for download and citation within 3 months after the Conference. The accepted articles will also be published in print in the June 2022 issue of IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON APPLIED SUPERCONDUCTIVITY.
